Domaine Arlaud : Bonnes-Mares Grand cru 2021

The 2021 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a succinct bouquet with fine delineation and assiduous use of whole cluster that lets the terroir shine through. Very cohesive and complex despite some reduction. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins. Taut and fresh, lightly spiced with a nubile finish that feels quite sensual, this is a lovely seductive Bonnes-Mares that should age well in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

Violet and blueberry notes on the nose of Bonnes-Mares, a smooth yet fresh wine, with finely cocoa-tinged nuances, whose delicate texture conceals a fairly full-bodied depth of flavour: 8 to 10 years of patience required.
