The Chateau La Mondotte is a red wine produced in the Saint-Emilion appellation with a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. There is 17 months of aging with 100% on new barrels.
The color is quite opaque red. The nose reveals blackberry, creme de cassis, roasted espresso, chocolate and toast. On the palate, Chateau La Mondotte 2008 offers tannins of extreme sweetness, exceptional opulence and a flamboyant personality. An intense and rich wine to consume until 2025.
