The Expression of an Exceptional Vintage Champagne
The Estate
Founded in 1912 by the Lhôpital family, the Champagne Telmont House has seen generations of visionaries passionate about the Champagne terroirs follow one another. In 2020, the French group Rémy Cointreau joined the Telmont adventure, driven by a shared ambition for the preservation of terroirs through organic farming and the development of a large-scale eco-responsible project. This innovative approach also inspired Leonardo DiCaprio to become a shareholder of Maison Telmont. Meanwhile, Bertrand Lhôpital remains cellar master and vineyard manager, thus ensuring the quality of a family know-how spanning more than a century.
The Vineyard
The Maison Telmont covers 24.5 hectares in Damery, near Épernay in Champagne. Since 2017, Maison Telmont has been certified Organic Agriculture for part of its plots. In 2022, the Champagne Telmont House had half of its land under organic farming.
Vinification and Aging
The production of this 1985 vintage champagne follows a traditional vinification method and includes malolactic fermentation. Dosage of 4.2 g/l.
