Tasting

The property
Located for 6 generations in Mesnil-sur-Oger, south of Epernay, the Champagne Pierre Péters House has been exclusively dedicated to the production of Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru champagne since 1919.
The Pierre Péters House is recognized for the high quality of its champagnes, vinified in small vats and then aged on fine lees, in order to authentically express the richness of the Champagne terroir and to preserve the varietal identity of the king grape, the chardonnay.
The vineyard
With an area of 19 hectares, the House's vineyard is exclusively located on the Côte des Blancs. This emblematic Champagne terroir owes its uniqueness to its chalky soil on the hillside.
The wine
Produced only in exceptional years, the L'Esprit de Pierre Péters cuvée is a Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs champagne from four illustrious plots of the Côte des Blancs (Le Mesnil, Avize, Cramant, Oger). Its dosage is 4.5 to 5.5 g/L depending on the vintages.
Blend
This 2019 vintage champagne is a 100% chardonnay.
