Description
Pierre Péters reveals an elegant and delicious Chardonnay that enhances the expression of the Côte des Blancs terroir
The producer
Located in Mesnil-sur-Oger, to the south of Epernay, for 6 generations, the Pierre Péters Champagne House has been exclusively dedicated to the production of Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru wines since 1919.
Its 19-hectare vineyard, located exclusively on the Côte des Blancs, derives its uniqueness from its chalky hillside terroir.
Pierre Péters is renowned for the high quality of its champagnes, which are vinified in small vats and then aged on fine lees, in order to authentically express the richness of the Champagne terroir and to preserve the varietal identity of the king grape variety, Chardonnay.
The wine
This Cuvée Réserve Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru by Pierre Péters is the fruit of a blend of over 20 different vintages, exclusively stemming from several villages of the Côte des Blancs. Its dosage is 6 to 7 g/litre.

Cuvée de Réserve Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru by Pierre Péters: Characteristics and tasting tips
The tasting
Colour
The colour is crystalline, with a beautiful pale gold hue adorned with a few green reflections, a typical feature of the grape variety. The effervescence is regular, with a persistent strand of bubbles.
Nose
The first nose presents floral and fruity notes. As the wine is aerated, notes of almond, fresh bread and citrus fruits blend harmoniously with great finesse and freshness.
Palate
Frank, the attack is seduced by this champagne’s finesse and roundness. Delicious aromas of citrus and white fruit blend with notes of fresh nuts and then creamier notes. The persistent finish reveals grapefruit and tangerine aromas which, combined with a beautiful minerality, give this wine a fresh and elegant expression.
