Tasting


Nose
At first discreet, the nose gradually opens to reveal a beautiful mineral tension, the distinctive signature of the Morgeot terroir.

Palate
Generous and powerful, the palate impresses with its abundant structure and striking freshness. The long and vibrant finish confirms the balance and precision of this exceptional white wine.

Food and wine pairings
This Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru pairs elegantly with sauced poultry, simply grilled premium fish, or pressed cooked cheeses. It also reveals all its subtlety with mushroom dishes or shellfish.

Service and cellaring
Serve between 11 and 13 °C. Aeration in a decanter is recommended in its early years. To be enjoyed now or cellared until around 2034.

A mineral and intense Chassagne-Montrachet

The property
Le Domaine Bruno Colin was founded in 2004 following the split of the family estate Michel Colin-Deleger. Today, Bruno Colin farms no fewer than 22 climats on the Côte de Beaune, including eight premiers crus within the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation. Trained at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune, he strives to express the singularity of each terroir through precision viticulture and meticulous cellar work.

The vineyard
The cuvée « Morgeot » comes from one of the most extensive and renowned climats of Chassagne-Montrachet. The estate cultivates 0.41 hectare of Chardonnay vines on clay-limestone soils. This vineyard is managed according to organic farming principles, with mechanical soil work and frequent plowing to promote a pure and lively expression of the terroir.

Winemaking and aging
After a rigorous manual harvest, the grapes are carefully vinified. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 350-liter oak barrels, 15–20% of which are new wood. An additional 4–6 months in stainless steel tanks perfects the balance between power and minerality before bottling.
