Toscana Tignanello 2013 Antinori: a staggering red wine
Toscana Tignanello from Antinori is a red wine produced in the Tuscan IGT appellation. The 57 hectare vineyard is located on rich soils composed of limestone, at an elevation of 350-400 meters above sea level. The wine is aged in new oak barrels, for an average period of 12-14 months. Toscana Tignanello 2013 from Antinori is a blend of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.
Toscana Tignanello 2013 from Antinori has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose develops intense aromas of red fruits combined with fragrances of vanilla, chocolate and leather. There are also balsamic notes. The wine is ample and envelops the mouth with supple tannins and a tasty freshness that can only come from a Sangiovese. Toscana Tignanello 2013 from Antinori is a formidable balance between acidity and its tannic structure. The finish is long and persistent.
