Description
A nautical term, Orzada is used to describe sailing up against a wind before setting a direction. The Odfjell Orzada Malbec is sourced from organically Certified Vineyard in the Lontue Valley, with fifty year old vines. After the hand harvest and destemming, the grapes undergo up to five days of cold maceration before fermentation. The wine is then aged for twelve months in a mixture of new and old, American and French oak barrels, as well as stainless steel tanks. The concentrated Odfjell Orzada Malbec is elegant with blackberries and blueberries, as well as hints of oak and tobacco. While the palate is powerful with firm tannins, it is also velvety soft with a refreshing acidity.
