Boarding Austria, this region is dominated by Pinot Grigio, but lesser known local red varieties like Lagrein and Schiava (also known as Trollinger) are slowly making a comeback. The Egger Ramer Schiava Gentile, made from 100% Schiava, is fragrant with red berry, strawberry and plum flavors.
