Description
Durigutti vinifies an entire line of classic Argentine varieties. This particular wine is made from 100% Bonarda, one of the most cultivated grapes in Argentina. In order to retain all the characteristics of this wine, brothers Paul and Hector Durigutti do not use any chemical treatments for stabilization, nor do they filter the wine. The lack of filtration can result in mild sediment, and it is recommended to decant the wine to prior to drinking. The 2010 Durigutti Bonarda is dense with plum and dark cherry fruit. Hints of mint and vanilla delight the nose while notes of dark chocolate please the palate. One year of aging in French oak gives this wine complexity and a soft round finish.
