Description
The standard bearer of the De Forville estate, their Barbaresco is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes planted in various cru throughout the Barbaresco zone with an average vine age of 35 years. The wine is fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks for two weeks before being transferred to large oak botti to age a minimum of another 18 months before bottling. A thoroughly traditional style, the De Forville Barbaresco shows the perfect marriage of elegance and structure with spice and floral tones along with red fruit aromas one expects of Barbaresco. Roughly 600 cases of this wine are imported to the United States each year.
