Description
The Cesconi Moratel Rosso Vigneti Dolomiti comes from the far northern reaches of alpine Italy, in Trentino-Alto Adige. The Cesconi brothers previously sold their fruit to co-ops but are now making some of the most exciting wines in the region. Organically farmed, the Cesconi Moratel Rosso Vigneti Dolomiti is a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Lagrein, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Teroldego. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats before 10 months of aging in French oak barrels. The Cesconi Moratel Rosso Vigneti Dolomiti displays expressive violet notes with hints of forest berries and blackcurrant. Plush tannins round the firm backbone for a long, supple finish. Enjoy with traditional Italian dishes such as spaghetti alla Bolognese.
