Description

The refinement and aromatic richness of a Saint-Julien red wine

The estate

Château Talbot, 4th Cru Classé of Saint-Julien, is one of the Médoc's most emblematic names. Acquired by Désiré Cordier in 1918, Château Talbot is now run by Nancy Bignon-Cordier and her husband, Jean-Paul Bignon.

The vineyard

Château Talbot 2010 is a Saint-Julien wine from a 105 hectare single vineyard in the heart of the appellation. The vines are 58 years old on average and benefit from soils made up of Medoc gravel.

Winemaking and ageing

The ageing of the wine took place in barrels, of which half were new.

Blend

Cabernet Sauvignon (62%)
Merlot (33%)
Petit verdot (5%).
