A Sophisticated Red Blend from Tuscany
Le Cupole is a very expressive and opulent second wine of Tenuta di Trinoro. The 2015 vintage consists of 58% Cabernet Franc, 32% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. These grapes were grown on a vineyard, aged an average of 23-25 years, at an altitude of 450-600 m above sea level in Tuscany. The fermentation took place for 12 days in stainless steel vats, while maturation was carried out for a period of 8 months in French oak barrels of 1, 2, or 3 previous uses, followed by 11 months in cement tanks.
Le Cupole 2015 is a Bordeaux-style blend, very clearly expressing its vintage and terroir of origin. This wine is extremely sophisticated and richly textured, characterized by aromas of black cherry, sweet spices and a hint of earth on the bouquet. The wine is consistent with the nose on the palate, showing a subtle sweetness and gorgeous texture.
