Description
A full-bodied and balanced Red wine from Burgundy
The estate
A reference among the great wines of Burgundy, the Comte Armand estate illustrates through each of its wines the aromatic richness and nuances of great terroirs of Volnay, Auxey-Duresses or Pommard.
The vineyard
The "Clos des Epeneaux" Monopole of Comte Armand is a Pommard wine 1er cru from a vineyard of 5.23 hectares, established by Nicolas Marey at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. It is one of the major monopolies of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. The Clos des Epeneaux, located in the heart of the village of Pommard, was acquired in 1828 by the family of Comte Armand. The vines are 30 to 80 years old, partly from a mass selection.
Grape variety
This Pommard 1er cru "Clos des Epeneaux" Monopole 2021 is 100% Pinot Noir.
