Chateau La Fleur Peyrabon 2014

The 2014 La Fleur Peyrabon has plenty of smudged raspberry coulis and graphite scents on the nose, forward and just needing a little more clarity. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, simple tobacco-tinged red fruit with an easy-going finish. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Tasted September 2016.

Inky bright purple colour. Floral and fragrant nose displaying violet, cassis, dark cherry, tobacco and fine oak. The palate is dense and fresh with fine proportions, ripe but young tannin, layers of inky dark fruit, cassis and plum notes with a mild spiciness and a long pure finish.

A nose of great suavity, delicate, with complex aromas of very ripe red and black fruits, spicy, smoky and floral notes; a broad, candid palate with rounded tannins and vigour on the finish. Flattering and balanced.

A very suave, delicate, yet long wine. It is greatly appreciated.

A supple wine with fine, slightly firm tannins, good length, and a smoky finish.

Dark color. Fruity, perfumed nose. Fruity, tasty, pleasant palate with medium body and length.

A small part of Château Peyrabon (Haut-Médoc) is in the Pauillac appellation and is vinified and bottled separately. The wine delivers great fruit and equal richness. It is spice, packed with black plum and berry flavors. It is a powerful dense wine to age for several years. Drink from 2023.
