Weinwisser

Dark garnet-purple, ruby rim. Warm bouquet, blackberries, dried blueberries, with delicate hints of slight raisining. On the palate quite concentrated, sweet, gently firm with a slightly dry extract, aromatic finish.

Le Figaro Vin

A lovely sweetness enhances this well-built wine of good density.

Jean-Marc Quarin

Beautiful dark, vibrant color. Fruity nose, ripe and fresh. Broad attack on the palate, then the wine unfolds with power, flavor, chew, volume, and tannins that still need to soften. Definitely let it age.

Description

A great Pauillac red wine that delights with finesse and aromatic expression

The estate

In the heart of the Pauillac appellation, Château La Fleur Peyrabon is an estate with a big personality. On Bordeaux’s Left Bank, this estate has been managed with flair by Patrick Bernard since 1998, who makes it a point of honour to produce elegant and refined wines, reflecting all the uniqueness of this great terroir.

The vineyard

Château La Fleur Peyrabon is a Pauillac wine from a vineyard of nearly 5 hectares. The vines are 20 years old on average and are planted on sandy gravel on a clay subsoil, making up a great Médoc terroir.

Winemaking and ageing

Meticulously sorted, the grapes were vinified in temperature-controlled concrete vats. Gentle extraction was completed by adapted pumping over and delestage. Maceration for 20 to 35 days.  Systematic separation of the presses into barrels. Malolactic fermentation partly in barrels. The wine was aged for 14 months in barrels (50% new wood).
