The estate
Located in the Aube department, which obtained, not without effort, the prestigious Champagne appellation in 1927, the Domaine Alexandre Bonnet estate is now a leading name for its cuvées from the great Champagne terroirs.
With a rich family history of winemaking dating back to 1934, the estate was founded in 1970 by René, Serge and Alain Bonnet. Owned by the Lanson-BCC group since 1998, Alexandre Bonnet has been managed since August 2019 by Arnaud Fabre, who, with his many years of experience with numerous wine estates, is committed to continuing the collective commitment to the development of this exceptional terroir.
The vineyard
Located in the heart of the Côte des Bar, in the south of Champagne, the vineyards of Les Riceys are planted on marl and limestone soils dating from the Kimmeridgian Jurassic, at an altitude of 250 metres. In order to preserve the ecosystem, no weedkillers or pesticides are used in the vineyards, which are partially grassed over. In addition, the estate encourages the development of biodiversity by planting orchards and truffle oaks, setting up meadow flower
The presentation case
The Coffret Duo "Les Riceys" Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs by Alexandre Bonnet brings together two of the estate's flagship champagnes.
- Made from a blend of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Blanc (50%), the "Les Riceys" Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut reveals a complex nose harmoniously blending a beautiful freshness with fruity, plant and spicy notes. Creamy and with a lovely tension, the palate reveals refined bitter scents that draw out to a lingering, saline finish.
- Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, the "Les Riceys" Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut reveals a fruity and floral nose before a delicious, lively and balanced palate.
