Description
The freshness and complexity of a Champagne by Barons de Rothschild
Combining aromatic purity, richness and complexity, the Extra Brut Barons de Rothschild cuvee combines all the qualities of a very great Champagne bearing the Rothschild signature.
The result of a blend of Chardonnay (60%) mainly from the Cote des Blancs and Pinot Noir (40%) coming from the terroirs of Verzenay, Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay, and Bouzy, the Extra Brut Barons de Rothschild cuvee is composed of 40% reserve wines for more complexity.
Aged for 3 years, this cuvee will delight the amateurs in search of champagnes endowed with a great purity and minerality with its dosage of 3 grams per litre. Once disgorged, the Extra Brut Barons de Rothschild benefits from an additional 6 to 9 months of rest in order to allow the Champagne to reveal all its qualities.
Bearing witness to both the art of blending and the art of Barons de Rothschild, this Champagne Extra Brut reveals a brilliant color shimmering with golden reflections, highlighting the finesse of the bubble cord's effervescence. The aromatic bouquet opens with greedy notes of pear and dried fruit evoking almond and fresh hazelnut while presenting delicate floral and toasty notes. On the palate, the frank attack in the mouth gives way to a full and round substance with a contained and balanced power. Due to its complexity, the Barons de Rothschild Extra Brut Cuvee Barons de Rothschild will be perfect as an aperitif or with oysters, lobster carpaccio, scallops or noble meats, not forgetting matured hard cheeses.
