Description
The elegance of a great Champagne Vintage Brut, generous and well-balanced
Fruit of the magnificent 2010 vintage, the Barons de Rothschild Brut Vintage 2010 champagne invites you to discover the expression of this great year. The year 2010 will have marked the spirits by its exceptional climatic conditions and a very fine harvest in Champagne.
With only 13,000 bottles produced, this vintage cuvee is made from a blend exclusively from the Grands Crus terroirs of Chardonnay (50%) from the Cote des Blancs and from Pinot Noir (50%) of the Montagne de Reims.
Low dosage with 6 grams of sugar per litre, the Barons de Rothschild Assemblage Brut Millesime 2010 champagne benefits from a long aging period of 7 years on its lees before continuing its aging by resting for a minimum of 9 months following disgorgement.
On tasting, the Assemblage Brut Millesime 2010 reveals a shimmering golden color with gold highlights highlighting the delicacy and finesse of the string of bubbles. The aromatic bouquet immediately seduces with its intense and complex aromatic expression combining freshness and finesse. Notes of white-fleshed fruit are followed by spicy and peppery scents. Due to its maturity, the wine reveals notes reminiscent of candied fruit on the nose. The palate is captivating with its precision and subtlety, evolving on lemony notes subtly accompanied by notes of pear and peach. Generous but balanced and full of elegance, the champagne continues to develop on the palate, stretching into an incredibly persistent and tense finish. Powerful and mineral, this Champagne wine bearing witness to the Barons of Rothschild House's know-how, will reveal noble seafood and fish enhanced with notes of citrus fruit or star anise or a veal medallion accompanied by morels.
