An exceptional Barbaresco from the Muncagota terroir
The estate
Founded in 1958 by the priest of the village of Barbaresco, Produttori del Barbaresco is undoubtedly the most renowned agricultural cooperative in the world. It stands out for its uncompromising commitment to quality, competing with the region’s finest independent producers. The cooperative brings together 53 winegrowers across 100 hectares, with a high standard of excellence and strict yield control. Its commitment is built on three key principles: the exclusive use of the Nebbiolo grape from Barbaresco, each member’s obligation to deliver their entire harvest to ensure consistent quality, and compensation based on grape quality rather than the volume produced.
The vineyard
The Muncagota vineyard spans 4.5 hectares in the Barbaresco appellation. Thanks to its favorable southeast exposure, the vines are planted on a calcareous clay soil that gives the wine its distinctive character. This unique terroir makes it possible to produce elegant, intense wines.
