An exceptional Barbaresco from the Muncagota terroir

The estate

Founded in 1958 by the priest of the village of Barbaresco, Produttori del Barbaresco is undoubtedly the most prestigious agricultural cooperative in the world. It stands out for its uncompromising qualitative approach, competing with the best independent producers in the region. The cooperative brings together 53 winegrowers over 100 hectares, with a demand for quality and rigorous yield management. Its commitment is based on three key principles: the exclusive use of the Barbaresco nebbiolo grape variety, the obligation for each member to deliver the entirety of their harvest to ensure qualitative homogeneity, and remuneration based on the quality of the grapes rather than the volume produced.

The vineyard

The Muncagota vineyard extends over 4.5 hectares in the Barbaresco appellation. Benefiting from a privileged southeast exposure, the vines are planted on a limestone-loamy soil that gives the wine its distinctive character. This particular terroir allows the production of elegant and intense wines.
