Description
Paolo Scavino is one of the most well respected Barolo producers in Castiglione Falletto. Bric del Fiasc is one of four cru wines in their portfolio. (Cannubi, Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva and Bricco Ambrogio are their single vineyard Barolos). The Paolo Scavino Bric del Fiasc characteristically carries the most structure of the lineup, combining finesse and power. The Fiasc vineyards are of Tortonian and Helvetian soils, giving the wines a characteristically silky and elegant texture. This pure expression of Nebbiolo has notes of balsamic, red fruits and licorice. Assertive tannins and bright acidity balance out the fruit well; enjoy this full bodied Nebbiolo with beefsteak, lamb or Parmigiano Reggiano.
