The estate
An essential reference among the great wines of Piedmont, Domenico Clerico is an Italian winery whose origins date back to 1977. It was in that year that Domenico acquired a plot of vines in Bussia, a vineyard located in the commune of Monforte d'Alba. 1979 marked the estate's first vintage.
Domenico Clerico now oversees a 21-hectare vineyard within the Barolo appellation, in Piedmont, in northern Italy. Following his passing in 2017, Oscar Arrivabene and Giulana Clerico have taken the helm of this estate, where every cuvée captivates with its precision and aromatic expression.
The vineyard
Produced since 2009, this Capisme-e cuvée from Domenico Clerico is a Langhe wine made from a 3-hectare vineyard.
Winemaking and aging
After harvest, the grapes undergo skin maceration with gentle extraction to preserve the integrity of the fruit and its fruity aromas. Aging takes place in steel tanks and amphorae.

Capisme-e 2022 from Domenico Clerico is made from 100% Nebbiolo.
