Domaine Laroche : Chablis Grand cru "Les Bouguerots" 2023

White peach and crystalline green apple aromas open on the nose that is dusted with white blossom and zested lemon peel. Slightly-creamy in texture, pensive acidity leads into wet river stone on the finish that harkens towards crushed stone.

The 2023 Chablis Bougros Les Bouguerots Grand Cru has a clean, conservative bouquet with crushed rock and malic scents. This will clearly require some time in bottle. The palate is fresh and tensile, with notes of apricot and nectarine. This has crisp acidity and a very cohesive, persistent finish. It does not quite have the complexity of the Blanchot this year, but it is still a well-crafted Chablis Grand Cru. Tasted blind at the BIVB offices in Chablis.
