Labelled Le Montrachet because it comes from the Chassagne side of this celebrated Grand Cru, Jacques Prieur’s holdings total 0.58 ha. Rich, powerful and concentrated, with more than enough substance to absorb 60% new oak, it shows notes of citrus, pear, aniseed and orange zest, with a refreshing, salty finish. A wonderful expression of a very special terroir from a domaine that is finally starting to realise its potential.

Tasted during ageing, it reveals the typical superiority of Montrachet, combining ultimate breadth with quiet strength. A great bottle in the making for the lucky few who will be able to get close to it.
