Description

An Elegant Grand Cru from Burgundy with a Delicate Touch

The Estate

Rooted in Nuits-Saint-Georges since 1825, at the heart of the prestigious Côte de Nuits, the Faiveley Family manages one of the most emblematic estates in Burgundy. Since 2005, the seventh generation has passionately perpetuated the family heritage: Erwan and Eve Faiveley embody this continuity with dynamism. With more than 120 hectares of vineyards, the estate stands out not only for its size, rare in Burgundy, but also for its prestige. It is notably distinguished by the management of plots classified as Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, testifying to a remarkable viticultural heritage.

The Vineyard

While the origins of the estate are in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the Côte de Nuits, the Faiveley Family has over the years extended its vineyards towards the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise. Today, the estate owns 12 Grands Crus and 25 Premiers Crus spread over the most beautiful terroirs of Burgundy, reflecting its commitment to excellence.

The Wine

This Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru is made from vines located south of Gevrey-Chambertin, on shallow limestone soils in 1958, 1984 and 1989.

Vinification and Aging

The grapes, harvested by hand, undergo a short pre-fermentation maceration before being vinified in conical wooden vats. The vatting lasts more than three weeks and ends with a gentle pressing, guaranteeing juices of remarkable purity. The aging takes place over 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new and 40% are one-wine barrels, in the estate's historic vaulted cellars dating from the 19th century.

Grape Variety

100% Pinot Noir.
