The estate
Founded in 1988 in Pommard by Anne-Françoise Gros, Domaine A.F. Gros is one of the most prestigious names in Burgundy.
Produced in limited quantities, the wines of Domaine A.F. Gros, made from a 10-hectare vineyard on some of Burgundy's finest terroirs, are recognized worldwide as the authentic expression of Pinot Noir.

Caroline and Mathias, two of the three children of Anne-Françoise Gros and François Parent, continue today to write the history of this exceptional estate. In constant pursuit of excellence, Domaine A.F. Gros produces wines of rare elegance and great finesse.

The vineyard
The grapes used to produce this Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru Monts Luisants cuvée come from a partner vineyard of Domaine A.F. Gros covering 0.3171 hectares.
Located on the Grand Cru Clos de la Roche, the vines are planted on a sloped plot (30%) composed of clay and predominantly limestone. In pure respect for the terroir, the vineyard is farmed traditionally following sustainable principles (soil tilling, selective pruning, leaf thinning, and green harvesting).

Winemaking and aging
Domaine A.F Gros practices exclusively manual harvesting.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks as well as oak barrels. A cold maceration (5°C) of 3 to 5 days promotes the extraction of aromas and color. No punching down was carried out on the 2019 vintage.
The wines are aged in oak barrels sourced from the forests of Chatillonnais and Fontainebleau for 18 months (40% new barrels).
