Description
Continuing a Legacy with Innovation
Chiara Boschis was the first female winemaker in Langhe, Piedmont when she took over E. Pira winery in 1990. After the legendary Gigi Pira passed away, his two daughters asked the Boschi family to help continue their father’s legacy in making wine. Chiara left her professional career in Turin, to return to Langhe with the goal to make an approachable elegant and lush Barolo. Her first wine was a smashing hit, receiving a Tre Bicchieri award and national recognition. Today, Chiara has 27 acres of vineyards that are certified organic. Her wines are consistently rich and have beautiful structure.
The Nuova is a classic Barolo with Nebbiolo grapes sourced from six vineyard sites. It is a lively garnet ruby color with notes of flowers, spice and red fruit on the nose. On the palate this wine is robust with notes of violets, red fruit and a bit of vanilla.
