The estate
Located on the edge of Pomerol and on the western part of the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château La Dominique is one of the most prestigious estates on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Audacity, precision and generosity are the key words to describe Château La Dominique and its exquisite wines.
The vineyard
Château La Dominique reigns over a 25-hectare vineyard and produces fine Saint-Emilion wines. The vines are 30 years old on average and enjoy an exceptional terroir composed of clay, gravel, limestone and sandy soils.
The blend
Château La Dominique 2018 comprises a blend of Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%).
Deep purple-black in color, the 2018 La Dominique is quite cedary to begin, with truffles and fungi wafts over a core of baked plums, Morello cherries and boysenberries plus tree bark scents. Full, concentrated and packed with black fruit, it has rounded tannins and just enough freshness to lift the finish.
