The precision and balance of a Pommard 1er Cru wine

The property

The history of the estate dates back to the mid-19th century, a period during which the Burgundian family Nié-Vantey expanded its estate by acquiring plots to complete the already existing vineyard. Heir to this historical and family heritage, Armand Heitz took over the estate in 2011. This passionate oenologist renamed the estate and decided to expand it in order to develop a wider range of appellations.

The vineyard

The Armand Heitz estate now oversees a prestigious vineyard that, from Beaune to Chassagne-Montrachet, produces Burgundy wines expressing their terroir with a pure and balanced style.

The wine

This "Clos des Poutures" Monopole is a Pommard wine 1er Cru made from a 0.66 hectare vineyard with vines planted between 1964 and 1999 on clay and silt soils.

Vinification and aging

Vinification with 50% whole clusters. Aging for 14 months in barrels, of which 20 to 40% are new.

Blend

100% pinot noir.
