Marly is a quintessential expression of Chablis by family-winery Domaine Hamelin. The Hamelin family has been cultivating vines in Burgundy since 1860, with vineyard sites located on chalky, limestone soil and 150-million-year-old kimmeridgian soil. This iconic terroir brings a distinctive minerality to the wine.
Domaine Hamelin works in a way that is respectful of the environment by adhering to “lutte raisonnée,” which means only using pesticides and herbicides as a last resort. 35-year-old Chardonnay vines bring good fruit concentration, and the wine spends 12-18 months in stainless steel tanks in order to keep the freshness and minerality throughout.
Fruity and vivid, with a citrus zing and a rich, round structure. Chalky minerality and a crisp, dry finish. A lovely companion to oysters, seafood, veal and all types of fresh and aged cheeses.
