The Estate
Château des Demoiselles - Xavier Flouret is rooted in a Provençal estate located in La Motte, in the Var, at the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation. Reborn under its current name in 2005 when the Teillaud family, also owners of Château Sainte Roseline, acquired the property, the estate is today led by Aurélie Bertin. Spanning 72 hectares of vines, it stands out for its organic and High Environmental Value level 3 certifications, combining a historic Provençal bastide with a modern, environmentally conscious approach to winemaking.
The Vineyard
The grapes for this cuvée come from vineyards planted across plains and hillsides in the Esclans valley, on red clay-limestone soils typical of this part of the Côtes de Provence appellation. The vineyard benefits from an ancient natural water source that has irrigated the vines for generations, supporting the estate's organic and High Environmental Value level 3 farming practices.
Winemaking and aging
For Nationale 7 2024, the grapes are harvested at night and in the early morning hours to preserve freshness before reaching the cellar. Vinification relies on a fully gravity-based process, followed by a short maceration and direct pressing, techniques chosen to protect the delicate aromatics and light, refreshing style that defines this Provençal rosé.
