Description
A seductive Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé with balance and richness
The estate
The origin of the name "Trottevieille" dates back several hundred years. Legend has it that a stagecoach stop was once located near the château. As soon as a carriage stopped, the old lady would trot down to hear the latest news, hence the name Trotte Vieille. Château Trotte Vieille is a Premier Grand Cru Classé, whose uniqueness lies in a small plot of vines that survived the terrible phylloxera outbreak of the second half of the 19th century.

This Château Trotte Vieille 2013 is a Saint-Émilion wine from a 12-hectare vineyard planted on reddish soils with a limestone subsoil.
Winemaking and aging
Fermentation lasting around 4 weeks. Aged in French oak barrels (100% new) for 18 to 24 months.
