Well-focused, with streamlined cherry and plum preserve flavors that glide through, accented by light floral and iron hints. Drink now through 2017. 1,800 cases made.

Medium-bodied with an oak, red cherry and black raspberry nose, this lighter style of St. Emilion, produced from a blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon should offer pleasure on release. 88-90 pts

A moving testament to this 100% cabernet franc made solely for the sake of history, from very old vines over 130 years old. Astonishing in depth and elegance with just-right ripeness; it starts gently and builds in power in the most subtle way. It’s perfect balance on the limestone plateau.

The 2013 is an undeniable success, with very fine, chiselled, vibrant texture. Its aromatic pedigree, built around cool graphite notes, is already evident, with a notable length.

The colour is fairly deep and the nose discreet, with truffle notes as it opens up. The palate is dense and compact, quite structured, with lovely length. 54% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. 100% new oak.
