Description
A red wine from the extraordinary Haut-Médoc
Chateau Sociando-Mallet is located in Haut-Medoc. The vineyard area in production is 56 hectares. The estate’s terroir consists of gravel soils on top of clay-limestone subsoil. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
The wine’s color is a deep red. On the nose, we smell ivy and licorice fragrances. The Chateau Sociando-Mallet 2000 offers great fruit purity. The attack shows softness and body, and reveals a delicate and silky texture. We can note the presence of fine tannins and a great freshness. Its extraordinary aging potential will let it evolve and become perfect for tasting up until 2028.
