Description

The flavour and fruity structure of a Saint-Émilion red wine revealed in an exceptional bottle

The estate

Owned by Silvio Denz, Château Peby Faugères is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé located on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Thanks to the efforts and investments made by Silvio Denz, Château Peby Faugères has gradually become one of the finest references in the appellation.

The vineyard

Château Peby Faugères is a Saint-Émilion wine that stems from a vineyard of 7.15 hectares. The vines are planted on a clay-limestone slope in a single block and have a south/south-east orientation.

The wine

This 2022 vintage celebrates the 25th vintage of Château Péby Faugères. Created in 1998 under the impetus of Corinne Guisez, widow of Pierre-Bernard "Peby" Guisez, this estate bears the imprint of Pierre-Bernard Guisez, who, together with Michel Rolland, identified the full potential of this terroir.
To mark this anniversary, Silvio Denz is unveiling a bottle of great elegance, paying tribute to the men and women who have shaped the history of this estate.

Winemaking and ageing

Vatting time of 30 days in concrete and stainless steel vats and barrels. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, 45% of which are new and 45% of which are one wine and 10 are two wines.

Grape variety

Merlot (100%).
