Description

A Unique Experience from a Margaux Grand Cru Classe

Since the purchase of the property by the Perrodo family in 2006, Chateau Marquis d’Alesme, a 3rd Classified Growth of 1855, has not ceased to shine, vintage after vintage, as one of the most beautiful properties of the very famous Margaux appellation, on the Left Bank of Bordeaux.

With its rare 15-hectare vineyard superbly located in the heart of the AOC Margaux, Chateau Marquis d'Alesme enjoys an exceptional terroir, which combines 3 types of soil: silico-gravel, silico-marl and clay-limestone. This terroir, in combination with the constant attention given by the château's technical team, from the vineyard to the winery, has contributed to the finest expression of Chateau Marquis d'Alesme.

First Wine of the estate, the Chateau Marquis d'Alesme 2017 brilliantly illustrates the successful combination of Bordeaux's wine-growing tradition with just the right dose of modernity.

Made in the pure Medoc style with a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), complemented by Merlot (33%) and Petit Verdot (6%), Chateau Marquis d'Alesme 2017 expresses the signature characteristics of Margaux through a vintage that puts forth brilliantly the elegance and finesse of the appellation.
