Description
A balanced and aromatic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé
The estate
Located on the edge of Pomerol and in the western part of the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château La Dominique is one of the most prestigious estates on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Boldness, precision and generosity guide this Grand Cru Classé in the crafting of its wines.
The vineyard
Sustainably managed since its inception, the 25-hectare vineyard of Château La Dominique benefits from an exceptional Saint-Émilion terroir combining clay-gravel, clay-limestone and sandy soils on clay. The vines are on average 30 years old.
Winemaking and aging
Hand-harvested in crates. Vinified in temperature-controlled conical vats. Aging lasts 14 months (50% in new barrels, 40% in one-year-old barrels and 10% in a vegetable polymer egg, in amphora and in wine globe).
Blend
Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%).
