A supple Saint-Emilion red wine
The Chateau Grand Corbin-Despagne is a Grand Cru Classe that covers nearly 29 hectares in the vineyards of Saint-Emilion. The blend is 75% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon.
At tasting, the Chateau Grand Corbin-Despagne 2014 has a red color with purple highlights. Its nose seems very closed a first, but with more intense scrutiny, there are notes of currant, blueberry and then a touch of sweetness. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a lovely acidity. This complex wine offers good cellaring potential. It is inded one of the best from the estate in recent years.
