A fine red wine from Saint-Emilion by Chateau Grand Corbin
The estate
A Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Chateau Grand Corbin was founded in the 19th century. This large estate on the right bank of Bordeaux has successfully revived its prestigious past. Managed by Philippe Dambrine, Château Grand Corbin is one of the top estates of the appellation.
The vineyard
The Château Grand Corbin vineyard covers 28.5 hectares of 40 year old vines. These vines are planted in silica soil on a bed of blue clay.
The winemaking
Manual harvest from September 23 to October 7. Vinification in wooden or concrete tanks
The ageing
12 months in French oak barrels. 40% new French oak.
The blend
Merlot (85%), cabernet franc (15%).
