A Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Chateau Grand Corbin was founded in the 19th century. This large estate on the right bank of Bordeaux has successfully revived its prestigious past. Managed by Philippe Dambrine, Chateau Grand Corbin is one of the top estates of the appellation.
The Chateau Grand Corbin vineyard covers 28.5 hectares of 40 year old vines. These vines are planted in silica soil on a bed of blue clay.
After the manual harvests, which took place between 15 to 29 September, the berries are sorted after destemming. The grapes are fermented in wooden or concrete vats. Finally, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, of which 40% are new.
