The estate
The Château Faugères terroir dates back to the 19th century. In 1987, husdate du XIXème siècle. En 1987, Pierre-Bernard Guisez inherited the estate and, with the help of Michel Rolland, made this vineyard one of the jewels in the crown of the Saint-Émilion appellation, imbuing it with their quest for quality and their desire to sublimate a unique terroir.
The vineyard
Grand Cru Classé, Château Faugères 2022 is a Saint-Émilion wine from a 39.95-hectare vineyard.
Winemaking and ageing
Vatting for 30 days in wooden vats. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 36% of which are new, 32% of which were one wine and 32% two wines.
Blend
Château Faugères 2022 is a blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (25%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).
