Description
The Grand Vin of the estate, the Chateau Dassault 2018 expresses all the typicality of a Grand Cru Classe from Saint-Emilion.
Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Dassault reigns over a vineyard of 24 hectares on the northern slope of Saint-Emilion. The soils are sandy-clayey, clay-sandy and clay on molasse du Fronsadais.
At Chateau Dassault, the grapes are harvested manually using optical sorting and gravity-feeding. The property was actually one of the first to have an optical sorting table, in 2009.
The Chateau Dassault 2018 is made from a blend of Merlot (75%), Cabernet Franc (22%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%). This Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is aged in new oak barrels (70%) and in barrels of one previous wine (30%). Made with the greatest respect for the terroir and the fruit, the Chateau Dassault 2018 offers the experience of a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe with a beautiful personality from a beautiful vintage for the Bordeaux region.
