Description
A Grand Cru of Saint-Émilion combining generosity and finesse
The estate
Originating in the 16th century, the Château Brun bears witness to a rich family heritage, passed down from generation to generation. This continuity in winemaking tradition preserves authentic know-how, resulting in an emblematic Grand Cru of the Saint-Émilion appellation.
The vineyard
The 2024 Château Brun comes from a vineyard of approximately 9 hectares, located on the slopes of a hill northwest of Saint-Émilion. Planted in a single block, the vines, averaging 30 years old, benefit from a clay-limestone terroir ideally exposed to the south. The planting consists of 90% Merlot, complemented by 10% Cabernet Franc.
Winemaking and ageing
After destemming, the grapes ferment in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The maceration lasts 18 to 20 days before racking. The wine is then aged for 18 months to develop its full complexity and elegance.
