A powerful and elegant Blanc de Noirs
The estate
Founded in 1912 by the Lhôpital family, the Champagne Telmont House has seen generations of visionaries passionate about the Champagne terroirs succeed one another. In 2020, the French group Rémy Cointreau joined the Telmont adventure, driven by a shared ambition for the preservation of terroirs through organic farming and the development of a large-scale eco-responsible project. This innovative approach also inspired Leonardo DiCaprio to become a shareholder in the Telmont House. At the same time, Bertrand Lhôpital remains cellar master and vineyard manager, thus ensuring the quality of a family know-how spanning over a century.
The vineyard
The Telmont House covers 24.5 hectares in Damery, near Épernay in Champagne. Since 2017, part of Telmont’s plots have been certified Organic Agriculture. In 2022, half of its land is under organic farming.
Winemaking and aging
50% of the wine is vinified in oak vats, bringing complexity and woody nuances, while the remaining 50% is processed classically in stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness and aromatic purity. After vinification, this 2014 vintage champagne rests for six years in the cellar.
Blend
This Blanc de Noirs is a blend of pinot noir (61%) and pinot meunier (39%).
