The Grande Cuvee is the quintessence of the Krug house. Each new edition is a new feat of virtuosity, a search for high precision. Dozens or even a hundred wines, in several vintages, are selected to achieve a real exploit and one of the most mythical vintages of Champagne.
Edition 163 is a blend of 183 wines from 12 different years from 1990 to 2007 and produced from the 3 emblematic grape varieties of the Champagne region (Pinot Noir 37%, Chardonnay 32% and Pinot Meunier 31%). More than 20 years have been necessary to elaborate Krug Grande Cuvee Edition 163 with a cellar aging of 5 years. The result lives up to the ambition of its creator, namely a champagne of intense richness and rare elegance. Sublime.
