Casanuova delle Cerbaie : Brunello di Montalcino 2006

One of the most impressive and elegant Brunello that we've come across, the Casanuova della Cerbaie Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese - locally called Brunello - that is sourced largely from the famed Montosoli cru just north of the town of Montaclino. With vineyards between 300 and 350 meters above sea level, the moderate climate favors elegant, aromatic styles of Sangiovese with plenty of depth and structure for aging - all qualities that are easily found in the Casanuova della Cerbaie. It is aged in large Slavonian oak casks for 36 months before a further 10 months aging in bottle.
