Quai Lumière is a Certified Organic Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux from Château Haut-Meneau. A family winery since 1825, they earned the “Cru Bourgeois” distinction in 1873. An ideal combination of stones, clay and sand soils on the property make it a prime location for winegrowing.
40-year-old Cabernet and Merlot vines are vinified without additives and extracted gently to keep refinement. The wine is aged for 12 months in old oak barrels, followed by 6 months in stainless steel vats.
An elegant and classic Bordeaux, Quai Lumière has good structure with fine and silky tannins. Complex aromas of redcurrant, red plum and cherry, followed by toasted vanilla and chocolate notes on the palate. A refined and quaffable wine on its own as well as a versatile food wine for cheeses, chocolate, red meats and dishes with red sauces.
