Description
The Chateau Sociando-Mallet is a large 83-hectare estate overlooking the Gironde estuary. This property located on the left bank of Bordeaux is one of the most beautiful unclassified wines of the Medoc.
Produced in the Haut-Medoc appellation, La Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet is the second wine of the chateau. This cuvee takes its name from a species of dragonfly living in the Medoc. The cuvee La Demoiselle de Sociando Mallet 2018 is made from a blend of Merlot (64%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (36%). The vines, 25 years old on average, are planted on a terroir of gravel and clay with a limestone subsoil.
The 2018 vintage is a jewel in the Bordeaux region. Light rainfall combined with exceptional weather conditions at the end of the season enabled the grapes to reach perfect ripeness and very good quality throughout the Medoc.
La Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet 2018 is aged in new barrels (33%) for 12 months.
A perfect alliance of freshness and elegance, La Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet 2018 is a wine about fruit. Fresh and fruity with Merlot, this beautiful red wine from Haut-Medoc can be enjoyed in its youth and is the ideal accompaniment to grilled meats.
