Description
The Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet takes its name from the "demoiselle", a species of dragonfly that lives in the Medoc. The youngest vines from the Sociando-Mallet estate are used to produce this wine. It is a wine made from a 20-hectare vineyard dominated with Merlot vines. Its 2015 vintage comes from a blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.
The aging for the 2015 La Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet is mostly done in stainless steel vats to keep the freshness and fruitness of the Merlot variety so that it can be a drinkable wine in its early years. Lightness and elegance are two qualitative characteristics that characterize wine and the dragonfly
