Fruity nose of strawberries, red plums and a hint of white pepper and stewed herbs. Fluid and medium-bodied with light, crunchy red fruit and a brambly finish. Delicious. Drink now or hold.

The 2021 Poesia has a very well-defined bouquet with a touch more harmony than its stablemate, Barde-Haut: heightened red cherry and iodine scents, quite floral in style. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, a vibrant and vivacious Saint-Émilion driven by the limestone terroir. Sapid on the finish, this is very fine.

Fresh, bright, red, and dark red berries with floral and mint accents are already on display in the perfume. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with a savory edge to the fresh, vibrant red fruits. The wine is made from a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2024-2040.

A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Poesia is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It opens with ferrous and crushed rocks scents, over a core of raspberry preserves, redcurrant jelly, and roses, with a touch of cardamom. The medium-bodied palate has rose-laced red and black fruits, with a fine-grained texture and great tension, finishing long and minerally.

Logo on the cork: DIAM30 Dark, intense, vibrant colour. Very aromatic, fruity nose with a blackcurrant note. Given this type of cork, I recommend decanting the wine several hours before serving. This gentle aeration will enhance the bouquet. Ample on entry, then rich and flavoursome, this wine shows plenty of energy. The finish is long, sappy and commanding. Alcohol content: 13.3% - pH: 3.4.
